Chris Winer Funerals was born out of a passion for helping other people. I make one of the most important and difficult events in my clients’ lives as simple and memorable as possible. 

I am a fully registered wedding celebrant and qualified funeral celebrant, with over ten years experience conducting funeral services. I truly feel it is an honour to celebrate the life of your loved one. Of course this is a time of bereavement and grief, but it is also important that this is tempered with the joy of their existence and not solely about sadness and loss. My aim as a celebrant is to create a service that balances these two aspects, so that ultimately, it is a celebration of the gift of life.

After qualifying as a funeral celebrant with acclaimed Silver Celebrants, the first service I wrote and delivered was my cherished mother’s funeral. As you can imagine, this was very difficult, but gave me firsthand experience of the emotional roller coaster that bereavement can be. Having been through this, I have empathy and sensitivity to the special requirements of people in times of emotional turmoil.  I will be able to work with you in a gentle, patient, reassuring manner to give your loved one the memorable service they deserve. It is important to me that the service embodies the nature and personality of the individual and the impact they had on those around them. Having practiced as a funeral celebrant for over nine years, I can create a service that truly celebrates your special person. I also have many years acting experience, which allows me to preside over services both large and intimate with grace and confidence.
